Troubleshooting Charging Issues

We recommend using the charging adapters and cables that were sent with the ILA and to leave them constantly plugged in, in order to keep the ILA ready to use when needed.  Also it keeps the ILA from discharging to 0%, as they can take time to recharge from that state.

If experiencing issues with an ILA charging, please follow these steps:
  1. Charge the ILA with the cables and adapters that were sent with them.
    1. The Rhino-branded charging adapters are 24W fast chargers, and regular 12W chargers will not work will with the tablets.
  2. Plug them directly into a known good wall outlet, not a power strip.
    1. Power strips can provide inadequate power to outlets, and it is best to guarantee a good power source for charging.
  3. Leave them plugged in overnight.
    1. When lithium-ion batteries reach 0%, they can sometimes take a while to charge up from that state.
  4. Next morning, hold the power button for 10 seconds.
    1. When powering on from a 0% state it takes more than a single press of the power button to power on the tablet.
  5. Please let it sit for about 5-10 minutes to see if powers on in that time.
    1. A "cold boot" from 0% can take longer than normal.
