How to Create Questions and Answers

You can add a Question to the phrase glossary phrase on your ILA that can be sent to your Guests by accessing the phrase glossary while in a session. The Guest can tap a preset answer that appears on their screen.

To add a Question to the ILA's glossary, tap on the Settings button in the upper-right corner on the Host's screen.

Tap on Phrases in the Settings menu.

Tap on the Open button on the right for Manage Common Phrases.

Tap on Add Phrase next to the Search Phrases field.

Tap on Phrase Type to change to Host Question.

Type in the Question you want to send to your Guests and tap on Save in the lower-right. In this picture the Host Question is also being added to a previously made Category.

This screen will appear for over 10-20 seconds, which is normal as it processes the addition.

Once the Question has been added, you'll just need to tap on the Add Phrase button again.

This time select Guest Answer under Phrase Type.

When you create the Guest Answer be sure to select the Host Question you want to put the phrase into.

Repeat the process until you fill out all Guest Answers for that Host Question.

To access your Question in the ILA's phrase glossary while in a translation session, please tap on the Book icon in the lower left.

Tap on the arrow to expand the Category we put the Host Question.

Tap on the Play button to send the question through. You can see the last message that was sent in the message box at the bottom of the phrase list. You can even see the Guest's last response.

This is what the Guest sees when you send the question.

Tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner to close the phrase glossary.

As you can see the question was answered when a time was selected by the Guest.
