You can add a message or phrase to your ILA that can be sent to your Guests by accessing the phrase glossary while in a session.
To add a Phrase to the ILA's glossary, tap on the Settings button in the upper-right corner on the Host's screen.
Tap on Phrases in the Settings menu.
Tap on the Open button on the right for Manage Common Phrases.
Tap on Add Phrase next to the Search Phrases field.
Tap on Phrase Type to change the type of phrase you want to create.
Here you can see the list of the available phrase types.

- Common Phrases are your standard questions, statements, or phrases that you need to say on a regular basis to your Guests.
- Translation
Helpers are to customize the translation of words or terms to be the
translation you prefer. Each language can be individually set with your
desired translation.
- Host
Questions are for creating multiple choice questions. Create one and
you can attach Guest Answers to it when that question is sent from the
phrase glossary.
- Guest Answers are attached to their respective Host Question to fill out the multiple choice selection for your Guest to review.
- Categories are for grouping phrases and questions into a expandable section for easy management of your phrase glossary.
- Replacement
Helpers are to customize the translation when you need specific words
always to appear when a certain word is heard by the ILA, useful when
names and names of places are not being heard accurately.
- Video URL is to play an video from a website on demand. Please note that the video will not be translated by the ILA.
To
add a Common Phrase while putting it into a Category, please start off
by selecting Category. Type in the desired Category name and tap on
Save in the lower-right.
This screen will appear for over 10-20 seconds, which is normal as it processes the addition.
Once the Category has been added, you'll just need to tap on the Add Phrase button again.
When you create the Common Phrase be sure to select the Category you want to put the phrase into.
The
Phrase can have a Phrase Title that appears in place of the phrase in
the Glossary view. Phrase Titles have a character limit of 101,
while Phrases have a character limit of 1000.
Once you are done the screen should look something like this.
To access your phrases in the ILA while in a translation session, please tap on the Book icon in the lower left.
Tap on the arrow to expand the Category.
Tap
on the Play button to send the message through. You can see that the
last message that was sent in the message box at the bottom of the
phrase list.
Tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner to return to the conversation see the Guest's response.
